my favorite bad dude in movies is magneto, from the x men, what an amazing charachter and ian mcKellen is the perfect actor to play him. for those that don't know anything about him magneto is a mutant, he has the ability to control all metals and in x men 1 we see him as a child being led into the gas chambers at austzwich, his family are executed and as he is pushed through the doors he turns upon the nazis and uses his power to save himself. years later he is the nemisis of dr.xaviar the head of the x men, living in a world where mutants are the scapegoats of modern society. Dr. X and his team think that mankind can live in harmony, and that x men are the next stage in human evolution, whereas Magneto has long ago given up on humanity, as he says to a young protegie in XM2 'You are a god amongst insects, don't let them tell you otherwise.'
He is a brilliant charachter, his escape from the plastic cell he is imprisoned in is ingenious, his sexy blue assistant is awesome in her metamorphing amazonian body, but his dark sense of humour is what i love about him most, he is wise and poignant.
I have always liked my baddies to be complex, ambiguious and focused in their passion and commitment, after all it's going to actually take some one like this to save our species, unless you still place your trust in your govts. Of course, the position is up for mini hitlers and tyrannts, i mean people are always dumb enough to support the nutters but Magneto would get my vote, he's more in touch with humanity than the humans. A bit like The andriod in Blade Runner, he became more human than Deker the dectective who was chasing him.

the great dog pan is not happy, all this rain makes him miserable, he's like me in that respect, we like the sun, we like the whole idea of easing through life without clothes, without umbrella's and trench coats, we like to feel warm and dry, instead we have this aching in our bones and damp permeates everywhere, soggy food, wet fur, hiding under blankets, icicles dripping down from the ends of our noses, teeth chattering, rain falling for the third day now.
'it's like bloody waterworld' pan says.
'yeah it's global warming pan.'
'oh yeah is that what ya call it captain.'
